Who is Michael Scott?

Mike Scott was tearing up the '70s NYC club scene as guitarist and front man for his band, Wizard, when word got around that he was coaxing hit records out of the bands clamoring to record at his "secret" studio in the 'burbs.
Mike's breakthrough came when he was behind the glass for Ian Hunter's "Short Back nd Sides" and "All of the Good Ones Are Taken." Soon a steady stream of rock-and-roll royalty was lining up to work with the Wizard, including Hall & Oates, Foreigner, Mountain with Leslie West and Corky Laing, Melanie, Peter Frampton, Steve Marriott and Humble Pie, Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin.
Mike's hit-making career went on to include working with legendary producer Tommy Mottola at Sony Music, where he engineered five platinum-selling albums for Mariah Carey - including her smash hit Christmas albums. He recorded Nirvana's groundbreaking "MTV Unplugged in New York" album, and Tony Bennett's mega-hit "MTV Unplugged," both in 1994; and won a Grammy Award for 1996's"Every Time I Close My Eyes" by Babyface.
His collaborations read like a pop music Who's Who over the past half-century, including Billy Joel, Jennifer Lopez, Carly Simon, Men Without Hats, 10,000 Maniacs, Vanessa Williams, Luther Vandross, Destiny's Child, Marc Anthony, Al Kooper and the Isley Brothers.
